Midwifery Care: What’s in it for Women?

Check out the debut video for I am a Midwife, a new online video series about midwives and what they do! From the Midwives Alliance of North America and co-produced with Nicolle Littrell of Woman in the Moon Films.

In Midwifery Care: What’s in it for Women? eight “real life” midwives describe describe the safe, satisfying and supportive care midwives in all settings provide women and their families!

A new video will be released weekly in May and June focused on topics important for women and their partners to consider when researching their birth options.

It’s spring, the flowers are blooming and so is I am a Midwife, a new online video series all about midwives and what they do, from the Midwives Alliance of North America!

Check out the new sneak peek for this exciting new public education campaign, “Every Woman Deserves a Midwife!”

Nicolle Littrell of Woman in the Moon Films is co-producing the series with MANA.

The “official” launch for the series is Saturday, May 5, International Midwives Day!

Calling all Midwives!

Are you attending this year’s MANA/CAN conference in Niagra Falls, Canada? If so, consider participating in “I am a Midwife”, MANA’s brand new public education campaign to promote midwifery care and increase access to midwives. A series of short video portraits will be produced that will feature a diverse and multi-cultural selection of midwives in the US. The films will be distributed and promoted through social media networks.

Nicolle Littrell, filmmaker, educator, birth activist and director of Woman in the Moon Films will be producing “I am a Midwife” with MANA. Production will commence at this year’s conference, where Nicolle will be interviewing midwives, Friday-Sunday.
